Our Managing Partner started the firm in June 1983. After some changes in the partnership structure, the firm recently changed its name to Madhavan Partnership to reflect the present partnership structure of the firm.
The firm from its inception has always maintained a wide field of legal practice. The following areas constitute its core practice to date:-

b) Insurance;
c) Conveyancing;
d) Corporate;
e) Intellectual Property.
The firm presently has nine partners dealing with the above areas. Due to the exigencies of the commercial world the firm has also expanded its areas of practice into Information Technology, Finance and Securities and Family Law.
The firm's philosophy is that it will never compromise its absolute integrity in its practice, either within the confines of the Courts, or in any other aspects of the firm's business. This remains a vital issue to each member, and forms the firm's assurance to each of its clients.
The firm has handled property transactions in excess of S$100,000,000.00 to litigation amounting to US$120,000,000.00.
We believe that the quantum abovementioned is reflective of the firm's integrity and expertise. It allows us to handle not only the usual much smaller cases, but emphasises also that we are not intimidated to handle the largest of matters.
The firm has responded to the needs of an electronic future by being highly computerized. The firm was one of the early entrants to subscribe to the Electronic Filing System introduced by our Courts and we also subscribe to Justice on Line (JOL) which allows us to do some of our Court Hearings on-line thus ensuring efficient and prompt handling of our clients' matters.
As much as it is important to know of one's past it is equally or even more important to pronounce that the firm is well orientated for the future. State of the art technology is now part of the firm's daily operations. The firm's legal research tools are all computerized and are a click away from full accessibility.
